Our doctor recommended we set it at 120 now that our daughter is mobile/strong enough to turn the knob by herself.  We haven’t turned it down, though, and I don’t think we will until Dirty Delete is of an age she gets free roam of the house or can go to the bathroom by herself.  It’s mostly selfish since I like REALLY hot showers, but  also we have baby gates everywhere, so Dirty Delete can’t even get to a faucet unless we open at least 2 gates for her.  It’s not a concern for us right now.

I’m not turning ours down until the baby is mobile. I worry about stuff not getting clean, like when you wash the towels and sheats in hot water to kill mites and allergens and during the day I clean my pump parts in hot soapy water from the facuet. I was under the impression that water temps of 140 were necessary to clean things like that.
