I’m only 15 weeks pregnant, but I know how it feels to worry about stuff to do with the baby! First and formost, keep reminding yourself your doctor gave you the all clear to go home for a reason. πŸ™‚

Pardon my crass analogy:

You know how when you really have to go to the bathroom after a long drive and the moment your keys hit the front door you suddenly have to pee 10x more? Just imagine this situation is like that. This pregnancy is your long drive…but instead of having to pee you’ve been very patient, and you are just about to put the keys in the door, so now your patients has been replaced with strong anticipation and excitement!

As for bringing on labour, I’ve heard really good things about accupuncture to help get the body ready for labour! I recieved accupuncture to boost fertility during the TTC process and my naturopath/accupuncturist talked about it. It could be worth a try! At the very leats it’ll help you relax πŸ™‚

Best of luck, and keep us posted πŸ™‚

Did they do the test to confirm its actually amniotic fluid? I would assume so. At 38w I was 4cm dilated and had a bulging bag of water so I bounced and rocked on a yoga ball – bam water broke, it was so much there was no denying it. Try that!

There are two different kinds of water breaking – you’re probably experiencing A hind water slow leakage. Get to walking and bouncing! Mine was like the movies it was crazy!

When it actually breaks, you will know,  it will feel like gallons, not leaking.  I  actually made it to the toilet because I  felt funny, but there was no mistaking it.  You are very very close, your body is getting Ready!  You will do great and your baby will be here in no time

myweddingbee :  As long as your doctor is monitoring your water, don’t worry about it. Apparently my fluid was a little low when my daughter was born (2 days after her due date). I was leaking fluid for a while but I never really noticed it… just thoguht it was part of pregnancy. I just wore a pantiliner everyday towards the end.  Actually, I labored for almost two days and wore a pad to see my doctor for my weekly appointment with contractions 5 minutes apart. She broke the rest of my water and I went on to the hospital and had a natural childbirth. The only way we knew my water was a little low was because my daugter had peely skin (think sun burn). She wasn’t red or anything…just peely and a little flaky lol

We were told it would wash away over time and occurs sort of like how dry skin would affect you after a while. So she was totally healthy and so was I. Just make sure your doctor is checking on the baby and you’ll be fine.
