i urgently need help …. particularly from any brides that have tried on or brought the watters jacinda dress…
so I ordered my dress 6 months ago and just went tonight to pick it up…. I get married in 6 weeks. I flew up to this spot especially as they were the only ppl that sell watters…
i am pretty tall but was told the dress would come long enough for me to wear at my height… As the sample was so long given it was a couple of sizes To big… But still I was a little worried and asked and they assured me it would be the same length which made me very happy…. As I wanted it nice and long.
so try the dress on tonight and I can see my ankles !! I am beyond upset. They are Trying to see if they can urgently order me a new one.. Or if not they will need to alter the shop sample which is way too big… And I am so sad about this and can’t even think about this being the only solution.
however they are trying to tell me that the slip underneath is always short… And that it does not go right to the ground… But the slip I can see my ankles as well… And they say this is normal… Does anyone have any pics of them in this dress… or info on how long your slip was /is so I can tell them… And hopefully you have pics so I will have proof..
I am so sad trying not to cry as I write this… My wedding dress nightmares are coming true.
why would the slip you wear under the dress also be so short ??
i wish they had just listened when I said I think I should get extra length to be safe… But they told me I would be fine and it would be the same size as the sampe… Sadly it is not by a long shot…

I am so sorry to hear this!!! Watters Jacinda was my dream gown, I was sure it was the one I would end up with, but after trying it on, it just wasn’t the one for me- particulary because the slip underneath the dress, not being connected together, just really messed me up- I am short and not very well endowed 😉 I remember the slip having spaghetti straps, which can be seen through the illusion neckline (also something I thought was off, looked like bra straps) what if you turned the slip underneath strapless? That way it could be worn lower, and you would eliminate the straps and I think the illusion neckline would look amazing! I know the slip isn’t form fitted, so you’d probably have to take it in around the bust/waist to keep it from slipping, but I think making the slip lower might add some length? Sorry if this isn’t helpful, just a thought I had when I tried it on. I dont have any pictures 🙁 keep us updated, I’m crossing my fingers for you!!

ugh that sucks! I fell in love with this dress online and tried it on in store and hated it….
anyway im 5’7″ and tried on a sample size 10 the dress was definitely long on me. I don’t recall the exact length of the slip though. Are the tulle strips too short as well? The way the dress is maybe they could add some longer tulle strips to the waist to give it the length back? they may have to take out some of the original ones on there so it doesn’t get bulky and sit funny but could be an option.
