I’m in the midst of my seeming to be daunting already dress search and every dress I love online, when I’ve tried them on it’s been an “eyy” type reaction, as many have experienced I know. I’ve currently been loving the Watters Torreon and will be trying it on this Thurs. Thoughts on it?
One thing I may be concerned with is there may be to much space between the flowers making the midsection will a focus. I’m 5’3″ and right now I’m a street size 4-6 but I will hands down be a size 2 when I get married, so hoping it won’t be a problem. Opinions on the space? I know you can buy extra flowers from Watters to maybe fill up some of the space, but who knows how that will look. Thanks ladies!

it does kinda seem to draw attention to the belly area, but if you’re a size 2 I dont think it would matter much.

If that last pic is you, I would totally go for it. I love the dress (second model looks terrible but all the rest look great). Wish I had the rear to wear something like that.

I actually just got married in a Watters Torreon in a beach wedding in Negril, Jamaica. I also had a concern about the the absence of flowers in the mid-section. Instead of adding more flowers in that area (Note: I tried the addition but it looked too busy; I came close to looking like a float in a Rose Bowl Parade), I chose to make a sash accented with rhinestones varying in size but similar to those in the flowers already on the dress. The result was gorgeous and the sash gave the dress more of a defined waist. My dress is a label size 6, street size 2-4 (wasn’t trying to loose weight but I guess that’s what happens with wedding planning).

I purchased this same dress a few months ago! I had the same concerns about the simplicity/satin look of the middle section so we ordered extra lace from watters to be applied to the middle section by the stores seamstress. Watters can do it too, but we thought it would be best to have someone do it that I could speak with in person. Its the same lace as the bottom of the dress just minus the flowers because I thought it would be too much to have them all over. You definitely dont want to add bulk to that midsection! So that’s what i would suggest…just a little lace to make it a little more seamless. I dont know what they were thinking with that satin middle!

@klanahan: do you have photos of the dress with lace added? if so I would love to see it. I am considering a replica of this dress as the original is too expensove for me.
