According to my jeweler it’s supposed to be worn point up, like a tear drop. love the pear shape. It was definitely the only diamond shape I was ever happy with.

ohlookanewbee: do you mind sharing the carat size of your center stone.
I have pear fever and plan on getting one by the end of the year. This thread has me in heaven. I want one in a double halo with a twisted band. I keep bouncing around about what size center to get.

doberman: fdotn: your rings are both redonkulously beautifu!!!
nanikoa: I think it’s a carat or maybe a little over in the center. My Fiance did the shopping and buying all by himself and I haven’t asked, I just know I love it!

ohlookanewbee: Thank you; yours is beautiful as well, it’s a lot like the setting on my round brilliant. The nice thing about pears is they face up larger than other cuts. Mine is 2.4cts and it looks much bigger (to me) than my 2.1 round brilliant.

Your ring is gorgeous!! I love my pear! I wear mine upside down.

lizzieslane: Oops! I meant I wear it upside down unless I wear my wedding band (then I have to wear it right side up otherwise the rings won’t fit on the one finger)
