Have any of you ladies tried doing wax envelope seals for your invites? My fiance & I bought some the goods to do this today at Michael’s and it took us a few tries to but we’re slowly (very slowly lol) getting the hang of it. Just how time consuming will this be though? My fiance is a fire bug so I know he’ll have a hell of a time helping me out with this when it comes time to mail off our invites, though!

A bee wrote about this awhile ago: maybe the sewing tutorial might help
Manvites: All Sealed Up
I think you could probably get them all knocked in a couple of nights (depending on how many there)

I just sent out about 100 invitations with the glue gun wax sticks….Fast, and easy! The hardest part was finding affordable ones that shipped to Hawaii! With the glue gun “faux wax” sticks, you just squirt out a bit of wax, press the seal, and voila! I did all of mine in an hour. Good luck!

I made the glue gun wax seals using Miss Sewing’s tutorial and they came out great. My sister-in-law made them at our invitation party. Just make sure you order more wax than you think you’ll need. Mine was supposed to yield 108 seals (using the more forgiving 12 seals/stick) and I only got 90, so I need to improvise with other methods for the remaining invitaitons. Also, my SIL practiced using real glue before starting with the wax.
