How far in advanced are people scheduling waxing appointments? I don’t want any sensitivity or redness day of, but I also don’t want any growth.. I just have this fear that, for the first time in my waxing history, my eyebrow is going to get burned and leave a mark.

I did my waxing, airbrush tan, and eyelash extensions on Thursday, the rehearsal dinner was on Friday (I had my nails done that day), and the wedding was on Saturday. I go to the same lady for my waxing, so I wasn’t worried about her suddenly doing it differently for my wedding.

I did all my waxing on Thursday too and it was fine by Saturday.

If you’ve never been waxed before, I would start going now so that if anything does happen, it’ll have time to grow back and you can find a new waxer! That being said, i tend to get red after m eyebrows get waxed, so I scheduled my appointments for Tues, with the rehearsal dinner on Thurs and the wedding on Friday. A friend recommended getting my armpits waxed for the wedding/honeymoon, so I had that done on Tuesday as well – WOW. It wasn’t any worse than a bikini wax and the end result was AMAZING. Very smooth, and I didn’t have to worry about shaving at all on my honeymoon!

i totally agree with ktdid23… if you’re a first time waxer, START NOW! don’t wait till the month of your wedding to do it for the first time. not every waxer will be good enough for your wedding day, no matter how much you spend on them. everyone does it differently and has a different view on how your eybrows should look! it’s just like doing makeup and hair trials- you have to try at least 2-3 different waxers before you’ll get the right one!
