FrenchNewlyWed:  Thank you for posting this haha. I always wondered if it was cool for pregnant women to get waxed. I don’t plan on babies but if it happens I’ll be following your lead once it’s impossible to see/bend over and getting it waxed 🙂

I agree!! I regularly get Brazilians and have had two since becoming pregnant…I thought it was slightly more painful but nothing that noticeable! I plan on getting them my whole pregnancy.

So funny you wrote this – I just got a brazillian done on Monday for the first time in over a year, but I did sugaring instead of waxing because I have had allergic reactions to waxing in the past.

It really wasn’t as bad as I had heard it could be for pregnant women.  Actually, I did a hypnobirthing class on the weekend so I was using some of my techniques, and I think they worked!

I also wish I hadn’t waited 6 months, lol.

FrenchNewlyWed:  thanks for this! I’m gonna wait till I’m past 12 weeks then I’m getting waxed for sure! I don’t care how painful it is either might prepare me for labour 🙂

FrenchNewlyWed:  Good to hear! I’ve been meaning to ask someone this. I regularly wax down there and was wondering whether it will be any more painful now that I’m pregnant.

Ditto!  I wanted to feel cleaner with all that’s going on down there.  Ew.  It actually wasn’t any more painful than when I was non-preggers.

I did not get a wax but I did shave, I was paranoid of going into labor and not being shaved lol. I shaved throughout my entire pregnancy. Actually if I remember correctly I shaved that same morning that I was going into labor, my legs and my vagina.

FrenchNewlyWed:  I’ve been waxing (brazilian at that) regularly for the past year and a half…  i’m 6 months pregnant and cancelled my brazillian for the first time ever this week.  The past two waxes I have been pain tolerant, but I cant deal with all the ingrown hairs that I’ve been getting ever since being pregnant.  Talked to Dr about this and he just told me to stop waxing for the time being… so I shaved last night in a LONG time and boy it was work!  haha

LMAO this post, awesome. I agree it is not as bad as they make it seem but you’ll find that some places will not do it if you are over 6-7 months. I remember wth my first son I went and the lady asked me when I was due and wouldn’t do it for me but fast forward to my second son and I got it done around 8 months teh lady just used “sensitive” wax.
