I have had a few.  My favourite was the last one.  We appeared to be getting married in an airport turned wedding venue.  Everyone was seated at our gate, except I was in sweats and chewing gum (for the record, I never chew gum.  I was probably a teen the last time I had any.)  And this gigantic wad of gum fell out all over the bottom of my tulle dress (my dress isn’t a tulle bottom.)  So my mum sent me off to hair and make up (no clue where that would be) and said she’d fix the dress, which was covered in a massive amount of bright pink gum.

None of this remotely reflects anything in our wedding, so I’m not sure where any of it came from.  I laughed pretty hard when I woke up.  So weird.

I dreamt that Fiance and I had to travel to our honeymoon destination separately. I arrive at our hotel in Hawaii (um, no. We’re going on a cruise IRL), and Fiance calls to tell me that his boss needs him to work. I call my mom, and she tells me I’ll be fine honeymooning alone. Then I realize that I have also forgotten my wedding band which makes me even more upset.

I’ve been having dreams too and ours isn’t until March 2015. I had one where the hair dresser cut all my hair off instead of doing an up do and one where I didn’t have any make up and my Maid/Matron of Honor decided to sleep until an hour before the ceremony. I’ve had a few others as well… it’s ridiculous!

Read The Concious Bride by Sheryl Paul! About bridal psychology. It’s fascinating, I just made a thread about it.

I had two dreams in the week before the wedding. In one, the hairdresser decided to cut all my hair off and leave me with this weird, pudding bowl sort of medieval style that ended at my ears. The other was the night before when I dreamed that the hotel staff burst into our room in the early hours of the morning and turned us out on the street in our pjs. The reason being that they’d decided to stop being a hotel and so we all had to leave!

I, too, have had more wedding dreams than I envisioned since the day we got engaged. I even had one last night, which I wish I could remember it all – something where the venue was just practicing holding a wedding reception and so ours wasn’t real?! I don’t know, ha.

MrsBuesleBee:  I will have to check out that thread! As a Psych major in college, that stuff still really interests me!

I’ve been engaged for YEARS without a single wedding dream, but once I put a deposit on our venue & set the date i’ve started to have them.  They are becoming more and more frequent as our date nears and they usually have something to do with things I still need to do.

Prior to officially booking a hairdresser that i’ve had in mind for years, I was having dreams of it being wedding day, getting into my dress and realizing it was 5 mins until the ceremony and i didn’t have anyone to do my hair!  So i ended up having to straighten it myself and carry on with the wedding.  Since officially putting a deposit on the hairdresser, I haven’t had any hair related dreams haha.

Same thing with flowers.  Prior to booking my florist, I kept having dreams of it being wedding day and right before walking down the aisle i realized nobody had any bouquets!  These also went away after booking my florist.

I haven’t had any dreams in a while, but as the date gets closer i’m sure they’ll start back up again at some point.  They always make for a good laugh when I wake up and it motivates me to get things done

Sporty-Bee:  I’ve been having wedding nightmares since a year & a half out from my wedding. Always the same everything is not decorated how I want it, someone else takes control of my wedding, & I don’t have my dress or hair & makeup

This is too funny! I’m about a year out still, and the dreams are rolling.

It started because my Fiance and I agreed that I would move to a “per job” basis at work (he owns the business, I’m in charge of one aspect) so that I can concentrate on the wedding stress free. It is NOT stress free!

My latest was over food. Our venue serves a ridiculous amount of food, so I dreamt that after cocktail hour everyone was so full they couldn’t move, and ended up miserable 🙁

I’ve been having nightmares for the last couple months and my wedding isn’t until next September! I think it’s probably because I hate weddings and didn’t want to have one in the first place. The nightmares are pretty much any variation on everyone is miserable and hates it and my wedding is awful. I’m so worried that nobody is going to enjoy themselves and everyone is going to make snarky comments and leave hating me and I’m going to lose all my friends because the wedding is so bad. (Why yes, I do have an anxiety disorder, lol).
