Coming to you all with an embarrassing question…
I gave my SO oral about 2 months ago and even though my jaw was hurting during the act I kept going… (I haven’t done it since!!!) and my jaw still hurts when I brush my teeth and spit, yawn… open my mouth too big while eating.. ect.
I don’t think I have TMJ cause my jaw doesn’t pop or get dislocated… it just is sooore!
Have of you experienced this? Does it get better? Do I realllly need to tell my doc? It’s so embarrassing!!!

I’ve had a sore jaw afterwards, but its usually gone within a day or two.
That sounds like something to go to the doctor for. You don’t have to tell him HOW you got the pain, but lasting pain such as that usually has a deeper issue.

There are a lot of muscles in your face and it’s not hard to strain them. You know how much your face hurts when you smile a lot? Anytime I give my FH oral my jaw is sore for a while, but it eventually goes away.
It’s been two months though and if you’re really uncomfortable it might not hurt to have it looked at.

you probably just strained it too far, i’m sure it’s nothing too serious.
I have TMJ, and it doesn’t always bother me till i do something to strain it.

If you’re embarassed to go to your regular doctor, you could go to your sexual health unit. Every community has one (at least if you’re in canada). I had an std scare years ago and was way too mortified to go to my doctor so I went there. At the health unit, they’ve seen anything and everything… I wasn’t embarassed in the slightest
