So I’ve already bought my girls their dresses and a small Burts Bees pack each (I know they both love it), but I want to get them something else that will last.
Wdyt of getting them each one of these necklaces with different charms (one lotus and one swallow)? One of their birthstones is citrine (the yellow pictured) and I thought I could get the other one a yellow charm to wear on the wedding day, but also a charm with her actual birthstone for after the wedding.
WDYT? Is that fobbing off wedding day attire as a present? Oh and the relevance of the charms is that my sister has a dog names Lotus and has a lotus tattoo because of him, my other bm loves swallows and recently got her first tattoo, a swallow.

I do know that lots of people get/give jewelry to be worn at the wedding as a “gift,” and I’ve now received that twice, and honestly neither time have I ever worn the item again. Which is why it’s really not a very thoughtful “gift.” So what do I think of your necklace as a gift? Well, in all honesty I don’t think I would ever wear it again. If you really want them to wear the necklace in the wedding, then would it be possible to also give them something else, like maybe a gift card to a restaurant or a store they shop at?

Those are beautiful – if you’re worried about giving wedding attire as the gift you could just let them decide to wear them or not. Either way, I would be happy to receive something pretty and personal like that!

I think that this is totally rewearable, and is personal to each of them. Great idea.
