I just have to share with you guys, because I am SO EXCITED. Darling Husband and I adopted a welsh corgi on Friday, got to pick him up Saturday 🙂
He is such a sweet boy! I can’t believe how happy I am to have him in our lives, and how much I already love him! He is 7, loves people and cats, loves being around us, and is pretty much the cutest little guy ever. 🙂 We got him from a shelter, where the previous owners couldn’t take care of him anymore. So glad that we get to give him another chance at happiness!
He is still warming up to us and our house, etc, but he’s slowly gaining more confidence around us. 🙂 WOOOOO!

Yay!!! Congratulations and I’m sooo happy to hear you rescued him. You saved his life and he is so lucky to have you! And I might be biased… but corgis are basically the coolest ever. 🙂

He is gorgeous!!! Congrats!!!! I found a welsh corgi wandering on my street in the rain when I was 9 years old, and I had him for 3 years until we moved to the US (we did not know at the time that we could have brought him with us). He was SUCH a great dog!!! Corgis are just AWESOME!!!!

@StephieBee: I love that you adopted him….when we brought our corgi to the vet (one to see if anyone had reported him missing), he estimated him to be about 8 or 9 years old….your guy is soooo adorable!!! What’s his name? Did you re-name him or keep his name?

@happilywaiting: We are so happy to have adopted him. Honestly, when we started researching a lot about adoption and whatnot, it made me wish we had a huge house with room for everyone.. just breaks my heart how that all goes down 🙁
So, we’ve re-named him Dean, though he doesn’t know it yet 😉 His old name was Chico, so it’s not tooo far off. He’s still adjusting to our house and is kinda weird and depressed half the time, so we’re focusing on him feeling loved and welcome before we really focus on name-changing.
I have been thinking about him all day today! Makes focusing at work hard 😉
