Hawaii is awesome!  It’s such an easy place to get around if you don’t have a car.  I love that about it!

We just got back from Oahu last week. The car was great for exploring other parts of the island like North Shore etc. There is nowhere to park along Waikiki so be prepared to leave your car at the hotel parking garage and to walk a lot there. Also parking at the hotels is like $25 a day so I recommend getting a car just part of the time. That’s what we did.

The other parts of the island are so beautiful! Definitely get out and explore! Let me know if you have any questions. We stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village which was awesome yet huge and overwhelming at times.

Here’s some pics for you! We hiked Diamond Head which I highly recommend, go early in the morning before it gets too hot, the view from the top is breathtaking. 1st pic is on the drive to Northshore, the rest are from the top of Diamond Head.

We’re going to Hawaii too!  Honolulu and then the Big Island.  What hotel are you staying at?  I’ve been to Honolulu before and stayed at the Ilikai and I think we may book that for our honeymoon as well.  It’s a beautiful hotel!

@Anxiouspeanut:  We’re having the wedding in Maui, yes!  We’ll check out Maui for the week of the wedding and then afterwards we’re planning to fly to Kauai.  So it feels more like a honeymoon in a “different” place 🙂

Really I just love Hawaii and want double the islands lol.

If you’re staying by the marina then the Hilton is right next door. There’s a really nice swimming lagoon that’s open to the public there. Check it out if you have time. We also did a breakfast sail that was reasonably priced and a lot of fun.
