I’ve got til Sept 13th – so about 7 weeks! I started my diy center peices and lanterns and made the flower basket for my flower girl (step daughter!) Almost finished with the ring pillow. I go for my first dress fitting today! This will also be the first time my mom gets to see it!! About half my bridesmaids have ordered their dresses, the other half are waiting for money reasons.

Fiance and I still need to pick our wedding cake and grooms cake, we need a guest book (I’m having a hard time finding one I like) I need to make my boquet and the bridesmaid boquets.

Fiance needs to get with groomsmen on their attire – I’ve been on his butt about that for 3 weeks. Also have to build our archway which will probably just take an afternoon.

Finally we still need wedding bands and of course the wedding lisence once it gets closer.

I’m doing my own makeup, but I do need to do a hair trial with my friend who’s doing my hair…

Forgot… gotta write vows and figure out how we are doing music. Anyone downloading songs and burning a CD? What about a playlist on iTunes or Spotify??

Hey date twin- we are getting married on September 13 too! We aren’t having dancing and we aren’t using music for the ceremony- since we are getting married on the beach and aren’t able to set up chairs or anything. We will have music at the beach house though and we are using playlists for that. Between us we have SO much music!

For our guest book, we got an engraveable frame- and I love it becasue it will make us but a wedding picture up and not procrastinate because of finding framing. http://www.idoengravables.com/wedding_guest_books_c/mat_intro/?

We went over the budget again lastnight and I ordered linens since it was actually cheaper to buy than to rent. Our budget is a little tight- it’s tough to plan for every little thing. I’m sure we will be glad when it’s here though.

FutureMrsPlasters:  I am so excited to finally have a date twin! I’ve seen a few on the 12th but seems us 13th are rare! But I guess not everyone wants a Sunday wedding. Why did you pick the 13th? We picked it because it was my grandparents anniversary.

My budget is tight too so I totally understand! A beach wedding sounds so pretty! My cousin is gettin married on the beach this weekend actually. Ours is a farm wedding – the ceremony outdoors (if the weather holds) and reception in a barn. Due to our budget we are debating on food. We’re thinking maybe just cake and snacks… but we don’t know yet.

I’m definitely going to check out the link you posted about the frame! Thanks!!

emilyjean89:  We chose the 13th because we wanted early September so it will still be super nice out here and I have a home roller derby bout on the 12th so all of my friends (other skaters) will be in town for sure. It’s hard to find a weekend where everyone is here!

its so close! We are ordering out cake  tomorrow and getting our rings engraved on Monday.

The barn sounds kind of nice! I’m sure it will be beautiful. We talked about doing cocktails and cake but wound up doing a whole dinner. It’s going to be good though, and not that much (I guess). How many people are you have big there?

We love the beaches here, we went to this particular spot on the beach on our first date and we got engaged there too. I moved down here from Seattle so I really can’t get enough of the beach.

We need to:

Finalise flowers (decorations and bouquets)

Finalise the menu

Finalise the seating chart and cards (I know what I want, I just need to know what the layout is going to be)

Write Orders of the Day (I need to write down basically the whole ceremony as it will be bilingual and several guests only speak one of the lanugages)

Meet with the priest

Book transport (you don’t even want to know my nightmare with this! The city where I’m getting married has decided to do a car free day on my wedding day!! So the only transport allowed to go between my church and reception venue are taxis and public transport buses. NIGHTMARE!)

Finalise the music

Have a hair and makeup trial

Hen and stag! Woho

Then Fiance needs to buy a ring and everything he’s wearing lol 😛

But I just picked up my dress from the seamstress today and it’s ready to go!

jnm_sha:  I’m very close–September 4th!! I paid our final balance off last week and finalized everything: menu, linens, timeline, music, processional order, etc.! I am SO stupidly excited that now I can just relax and enjoy this time.  I’ve got all my decor packed, organized and sorted by location in plastic storage containers all ready for my day of coordinator to set up.

It’s also pretty neat that I get to reunite with my Fiance after a full year of LDR…talk about emotional.  I’m going to full on ugly cry as I walk down the aisle!

12 days!!! I’m actually pretty organized- thanks to my friend who is a planner. I have some things I need to do next week because I won’t be working but I feel pretty good about where we are at now! I’m totally stalking the long range forecast though- far too many hurricanes this year- but it looks good! I’m just excited!
