Definitely take the ferry to St. John for a day trip. There are some great beaches there, my favorite is Trunk Bay. There’s also Honeymoon Bay so that one might be appropriate! 🙂

Oooo you guys are going to love it!!  My fiance and I stayed there for a friend’s wedding and it was so nice!!  I agree with Kellyann, I highly recommend spending a few days in St. John.  You can get there by ferry.  More than half of the island is a national park so it is even more beautiful that St. Thomas.  You can hike to all of these secluded beaches.

Other than going to St. John, we never really left the resort.  We stayed at the Frenchman’s Reef – not at Morning Star but we had access to Morning Star.  Frenchman’s Reef is up on the cliff and Morning Star is down below.  Beach access is at Morning Star but Frenchman’s Reef has the better pool.  You should check out Havana Blue for dinner one night (at Morning Star).  It has really good ambiance!

Have a great time!! 🙂

Sounds awesome!  T loves to captail (is this right?) sailboats (large ones with multiple sails) and he’s been sailing there and loves both islands.  You’re gonna love it!  He def is a fan of St. John as it’s less commercialized.

That sounds like a fantastic honeymoon!  Congrats!  I’ll check out your site.  I’m not familiar w/that resort but it sounds lovely!

I’ve actually stayed at that very resort!  I went parasailing and snorkeling (saw an octopus!) in St. Thomas, very fun.  Definitely go to St. John and Trunk Bay–it is AMAZING–bring your snorkel gear and an underwater camera!  I would probably spend more than one day in St. John I liked it so much!  And bring some cash because they have vendors that sell frozen drinks at the beach, so yummy!  The food at the Marriott was really expensive and you have to take a cab to get anywhere, so you may want to bring some snacks with you to save a little $.  Food on the island is expensive generally, but if you have a good guide book, I’m sure you can find some great food that isn’t crazy expensive!  Have a great honeymoon, the Virgin Islands are gorgeous!
