So pretty much the only thing DH and I have in common is we both like watching TV together.
and going out to eat.
we are quiet opposites.
He likes hiking and sports ( two things I strongly dislike)
I love dancing singing arts …. Pretty much anything that’s inside and not supper sporty I like ….. And he doesn’t.
he is a pretty big introvert.
I would be willing to
try pretty much anything at least once …. But he never wants to
do anything 🙁
so ladies what are some
ideas that I could attempt to
get him up and out or even in our home !
Thats one of my New Years resolution is for
us to actually play and be together mentally and emotionally instead of just physical…
Also how do
i help his introverted-ness? Not to fix it but to approach it with this issue at hand of “not having anything to do “

@alishaloo: Have you thought about yoga?its physical/mental but you can take it at your own pace. Maybe try a class together!

Fiance and i love bowling! haha so dorky but it’s so fun! we go 1x a week at least, just us or with friends
we also love card/board games, watching movies together, taking our dog to the park, trying new places for drinks/appetizers, music concerts, wine vineyards, etc!

Do things in between. In the summer, shakespear in the park or whatever is around. Go for a casual walk before or after. In the winter, skating, outdoor light festival that you walk through, etc.

You can still watch tv together, but do it with exercise bikes or ellipticals. I do my morning workout with whatever I pvr’d the night before and my exercise bike. Equipment can be expensive, but right now you can probably find a good sale. This time last year is when I got my exercise bike – it is collapsable and it was about $100.

Sounds basic but dinner and a movie night?

Why not try doing some of the things he likes and then maybe he will do some things you like? Hiking can be very enjoyable and romantic.
Another activity I thought of was roller skating. DH and I have a great time when we go.

We like taking walks around the neighborhood. It’s relaxing, good exercise, and gives us time to talk to each other.

maybe you guys can cook together? its a great activity to bond over, and you can make a full day of it (picking out a recipe, shopping, cooking)

@alishaloo: May not be what you’re looking for Exactly, but these are things Fiance and I do to stay active but also spend time together:
ice skate and regular roller skating at a rink
he made me a scavenger hunt around our home town and that took a good 3 hours
we go to the mall sometimes and window shop, we also like people watching which can be done at a park… So maybe light hiking and have a picnic, then get some binoculars and people watch haha
Maybe compromise and take him a sports game, but you get to pick the sport?
Mini road trip to a historical location that has some walking trails. I know you don’t like hiking, but anything historic would be fun (then again I’m a sucker for historical sites lol)

Geocaching (it’s a GPS game where you enter coordinates and go find something hidden). There’s different types from the ones that you just go find to ones that have multiple stages or require you to google and look up things to solve a puzzle in order to get the coordinates.
A lot of caches will take you to some pretty amazing places (I found stairs out in the middle of the woods near a path I jog on regularly). City caches you can pretty much drive up to and maybe have to walk 100 meters to or you can do ones that you hike miles.
Something for everyone with some interesting surprises. 😉
