- Wedding: August 2012
The wedding is officially 1 month away, and the DJ wants our selections by Saturday…so we’re coming down to the wire trying to make some decisions! This has actually been going on for MONTHS. The music selection has been by far the hardest part of the planning process – how about for my fellow bees?
Here’s what we have so far…
Prelude/Guest seating: Ray Lamontagne/Jack Johnson type, low-key singer/songwriter stuff (20-30 minutes)
Processional: I Won’t Give Up, by Jason Mraz (we have a small wedding party, so we’re all walking to the same thing.)
Recessional: Pride & Joy, by Stevie Ray Vaughn…because why not?? 🙂 It says “get ready to get doooowwwnnnn” hahaha
Cocktail hour: Standards / big band / jazz (my music)
Dinner: Motown / Soul / Southern Rock (his music)
Bridal party intros: Home, by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (the video was shot in Marfa, TX, where my dad was born!!)
First dance: Make you Feel my Love, by Adele (on the fence on this one…might be too slow? Lovely though…)
What do you guys think??
