Congratulations! Warren is a nice name and I feel that Cecil or Ford don’t go well with Warren. I do love Everett….very nice and goes well in relation to the period name of Warren.

Ohh I like Paisley for a girl’s middle name!

Boy’s names are definitely harder. Since you like “-son” names, what about Grayson? I have an Uncle Gray, and I really like that name.

I heard a woman at the farmer’s market this morning call her two boys Magellan and Anton…I thought those names were pretty cool, but they both end with “n.” I also love the name Finn, but that’s an “-n” ender too!

How about Clark? That kind of fits with the same timeless vibe as Warren, I think.

Ok, my silly answer? You should consider Arthur Ford – because they’re both characters from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy!

My serious answer: I really like the way Everett Ford sounds – hubby might come around if you say it enough…

Also, I see you’ve considered a lot of other “W” names. How about Wyatt??

I think Celia for a girl sounds really nice. I would STRONGLY discourage “Fielder Mets” unless you guys are really big baseball fans. And I know that your last name is what it is, but “Ford Mets” makes me think of two “brand names” stuck together.

I really like Theodore because it’s such a versatile name and can develop as your kid’s personality does. Theodore Mets, Theo Mets, Ted Mets, Teddy Mets — all of them sound and look great together, I think!

ETA: Theodore Whitfield Mets sounds classy as heck. 😉

Parker?

Brady?

Ayr?

Ryder?

Liev?

Conroy? (my fiance’s suggestion)

I do really like Theodore though. It’s a great name.

Have you considered Cecily (pronounced sess-il-lee) for a girl? It’s a very classic old name, has “Cecil” in it (though not prounced the same way I think?), and is in sort of the same vein as Celia and Cecilia.

For a boy, I agree with some PPs  – Everett is an awesome name, I hope your DH comes around to it! I love that you have a child named Warren btw, that is one of the names on our list of potential ones for our future baby!

I like uncommon but not whacky names for boys, too. Here are some I have saved on my computer, maybe something will strike you

Celia is MUCH better than Paisley. Just my opinion. I have a great aunt named Alta Christine. 🙂

Um… Theodore is freaking adorable. I LOVE that name and I would love to be able to call a little man Theo. Theodore Whitfield.

Have you ever tried Nymbler? I put in Warren, Cecil, Everett and Theodore and these are some of the suggestions it gave:

Emmett

Leo

Clifton

Clinton

Merritt

Chester

Virgil

Elden

Corbin

Julius (I think Julius and Warren go together nicely)

Elliott (one of my favs!)

Quentin

The list goes on. It’s a site worth checking out. 🙂 http://www.nymbler.com/

@GeekChic:  Cullom is my brother’s name! My mom likes to joke and say, “We didn’t know what to call him, so we called him Cullom.” (Say it out loud, it’s funnier.)
