Finally! We’ve booked all our honeymoon hotels. I’m so excited ladies and I just wanted to share with you in case anyone is traveling to these places and is on the lookout for places to stay. Obviously I haven’t been to any of these hotels so I can’t attest to any of them but based on the trip advisor reviews and photos I’m SO excited.
We’re starting off in Rome where we’re staying at a real villa that has been privately owned by the same family for 100 years. Villa Spalletti Trivelli. The Villa has 12 rooms and private garden. All in the center of Rome just a 5-10 minute walk from a lot of the sites, (Trevi, Spanish Steps, etc). I’m so thrilled about this unique opportunity. Cannot wait!
Then we are heading to Santorini where we are staying at a small boutique hotel right on the Caldera.
Then we’re off to Mykonos where we’re staying at a larger luxury resort type of hotel. My friend stayed there last year and says it’s the most phenomenal hotel she’s ever stayed at, (and she’s pretty snobby about these sort of things.)
We’re finishing our trip in Athens where we are spending two days before we fly home. This is probably the least exciting of all the accommodations but it looks clean and modern and has views of the some of the top sites.

Yay!! How exciting! We’re going to Italy and Greece as well, and we’re also staying at the Mykonos Grand hotel! I’m glad to hear that your friend loved it!
All of your hotels look great. Have fun on your honeymoon! I’m hoping you’ll come back and let us know how everything was =)

@krobbie: Where in Italy and Greece are you going? What kind of room did you guys book at the Mykonos Grand? We were so conflicted.

@Meowkers: We are starting out in Mykonos and then going to Santorini (for 3 nights each). Then we’re off to Florence, Montepulciano, Sorrento, Capri, and then Rome for one night right before we leave. We’re going so many places, but it’s hard to go all the way over there and not see everything!! We went to Italy about a year and a half ago, so we’re making sure to visit all new places.
At the Grand we are just getting the sea view room. I love nice hotels and luxury rooms, but it seemed like the sea view room was enough. I just want to be able to see the water, and I’ll be fine! Some of the rooms look really nice though…
In Santorini we’re staying at Ikies, and I’m really excited! We had a really tough time deciding which room we wanted there. I really wanted the winemaker’s suite, but it was sold out (maybe that’s better – I saved some $$$). We are staying in the Boatman’s studio, but we have a hot tub on the balcony, so I’m happy =)

@krobbie: your honeymoon sounds amazing!!! You are going to love Florence. One of the most magical cities in the world.
We really wanted to stay at Ikies as well but all the rooms we liked were booked. Boo! Santorini was the hardest to chose a hotel. So many of them look incredible but all are so pricey.
