Hi bees! So it has been a few days since I’ve been on because we’ve been crazy busy house shopping. We made an offer on a gorgeous home on Thursday and much to our surprise…WE GOT IT!!! The market is crazy in this city and this house had only been on the market for 8 hours and we happened to be the first ones there when they began allowing viewings that night. When I say first ones, we were literally the first car to pull up at 5:45 but there were a good dozen people waiting to get in behind us. Anyway our realtor met us there and we made a good offer and went home not expecting to hear anything except bad news. Turns out they got 5 offers that night but since ours was the first and we were most amenable to their closing date we got it!!! It is our dream home and we can’t wait to move in, but we have one problem – Fiance has a severe cat allergy and as soon as we went in he could tell that a cat either lives there now or had lived there at one time. So we are going to have the entire house, carpets, furnace, ducts, everything professionally cleaned prior to moving in. If that does not work we may have to replace the carpets. Does anyone have any hints or tips for removing cat dander from a home? Fiance is going to get back on his allergy medication and we are looking into hepa air flitration, but I was wondering if any of you ladies had other ideas for clearing a home of cat dander? Thanks!!!
