@mrstilly:  I’m pretty sure waiving the home inspection means that you accept the house as is.

@Imagelicious: Congrats!

Not to be a downer but it might be a good idea to get a home inspection anyways. Although ours didnt find anything major, it did find minor things that we have been fixing over the last year or so. There are SOO many things that you can’t see just from walking through the house. A trained professional knows what to look for, goes on the roof, checks the foundation, etc.

@Imagelicious:  Do you know how old the house is?   Going by the picture you posted and the area you mentioned you bought in, I would guess anywhere between 8-10 years, which is not old at all.  Do you have any inspection dates in the offer?  I know for ours, we’re allowed to schedule two visits (with our realtor) before we close just to make sure things are ok.
