This is just an update from the post I wrote a couple months ago about our minister selling us a house. It took forever to arrange a meeting with him to go look inside the house. Future Father-In-Law wanted to go with us because he knows what to look for, so we had to wait until the minister and FFIL’s schedules permitted. Sunday, we finally got to go. I was nervous to see the inside because the place has been vacant for some time. Surprisingly, there is no roof damage and no mold. Some vandals came in and stole cabinets, messed up the flooring, and busted some windows… But, Future Father-In-Law and the minister (he’s in the same line of work as FFIL) told us that they planned to give us everything we needed to get the place ready by the wedding. I nearly cried when they said that they were going to do whatever it takes, including giving us resources at no cost.
So, today the papers are being signed and we will begin on our HGTV-style remodeling journey. I plan to go to the house and take pictures of everything so that I can do a progress update in the future. We are beyond excited and overjoyed! The first night after we “got the house” (it was considered “ours” as soon as we said we wanted it) Fiance and I tossed, turned, giggled, and stayed up talking about doors, cabinets, countertops, flooring, etc. Our prayers have been answered. He is definitely an on time God!
