Ahh congrats!! That was a quick closing it seems! We made an offer on *another* (cough…3rd home) last night. I hope I will be posting a “We’re closing!” thread soon!!! I assume we will take a cheesy picture with the for sale sign too – that’s a great picture for a scrapbook!

Totally take that picture. The realtor took our sign before we had a chance to take one and I was so upset!

Congratulations!! We immediately went to Target and got a ton of cleaning supplies to start digging in. But the picture with the for sale sign sounds like much more fun :o)

Congratulations!  We brought over our camping matress and spent the night.  We also made Kraft Dinner & ate it in camping chairs since we hadn’t moved any furniture yet.  πŸ™‚

Congrats! the first thing we are doing after closing is heading over to fix the downspouts. Thankfully we’ve been in a drought period lately, so the jacked up downspouts haven’t been able to do any recent soil erosion, but we’re not taking any chances. Oh, and we’ll have the locksmith and alarm company set-up to be there asap to change all of the locks and the alarm code. I’m not taking any chances.

@LizLemon:  Ask him if he would willingly hand keys to your current home to an absolute stranger? If he would not, then ask him why he is okay with a random stranger having keys to your new home. That should set him straight. πŸ™‚

The first thing we did was go to Home Depot for the first (of many) times.

And the first thing we did there was buy all new exterior locks to the house, have them rekeyed to one key, and then replaced all the locks in the house. Can’t be too careful!

Then we started prepping the walls for paint upstairs. πŸ™‚

Congrats! I’m so jealous!  We thought we had an offer, but the day the contract was going to be presented our realtor died very suddenly.  He was a close family friend so things have been really hard and on top of it we have no idea if we need to make plans for a living situation.
