The biggest thing you’ll need to do is LET GO– let your aunt and grandmother make decisions (with your counsil) but be ready for things to not go according to plan.  It’s tough, but with such a short schedule it’s the best you’ll have.

As for getting married in GA first, I think that’s a great idea– and who cares if you sign the piece of paper early– you’re still getting married in IL too, I think it’ll be perfect to give everyone a chance to be a part of your special day(s).

Just remember to breathe!!!

I don’t have any experience but I have been to Destination Wedding before where the couples don’t reside there.

My advice is to not stress out.  Since it will be a Destination Wedding for you, you won’t be able to follow through all the tiny details.  When you get stressed out, remember why you are doing this Destination Wedding –  to spend more time with your loved ones.

As for the wedding, make sure whoever is helping you keep sending you pictures and keep you updated.  Seeing things online and see the actual thing is very different.  Make sure they help you ask as many questions as you would’ve asked if you see the vendor in person.  If it helps, call the vendor yourself to talk to them too.  That way no “miscommunication” between your aunt and the vendors.

Good luck!

My older sister pulled off her wedding in about 4 months.  Here in Cali that’s kind of unheard of so I think you should be able to pull it off.  Just try to enjoy the moment.
