I honestly had the best weekend of my life! I don’t think it’s actually all hit me yet. But we’re married!!!!!
The day was magical! A few snafus here or there, but luckily no major problems. My surprise groom’s cake wasn’t delivered, but the baker delivered it to our day after brunch and all was well. My new Mother-In-Law was in a pissy mood all weekend, which I figured would happen, so I didn’t let it bother me. I did have to apologize to the wedding coordinator on her behalf because she yelled her her assistant and the waiters. They did screw up the meals, but really? Don’t yell at people and certainly don’t bitch to the bride about it. We didn’t get to make it to all the tables to say hi because we kept getting pulled away. But we didn’t have time for a receiving linev and everyone was fine. We did eventually say hi to everyone, though everyone’s level of drunkenness was varied haha. They messed up the order of when my mom walked down the aisle, but no big deal. My crinoline kept bunching up starting midway through pictures. It was super annoying and I’m hoping you can’t tell in the pictures. My HUSBAND fixed it for me a thousand times! He’s a good guy. And my belt kept slipping down which was also annoying. It was supposed to cover the end of the bolero but the pins didn’t hold. My bustle didn’t make it either, but I didn’t fall so yay!!!!!
The flowers were more stunning than I could ever have dreamed! The centerpieces were better than I imagined every detail was perfect! My florist was amazing! The wedding coordinator told us that the bride and groom from a prior wedding left a beautiful birch arch and we could use it. Free arch? Free exactly the arch I wanted to rent but decided it was too expensive arch? Free my husband’s favorite tree arch? YES!!!!! And it was beautiful! Can’t wait for pro pics!
My dad and I aren’t super sappy, so 1 minute into our dance we had the bridal party rush the floor and we did the Time Warp. My moh gave the best speech. We have a quirky sense of humor, and must of the jokes were personal inside jokes that only a few of us got… And it was perfect!!
My photographer was great! Our venue was holding a haunted house, so we got some pro pictures with some creepy clowns and one of us kissing under a skeleton. He had such a blast with those pictures! So did we. Halloween is my favorite!
Our dj was a blast. We did the shoe game which none of us had heard of (not popular where we’re from- or venue was 3 hours from home and he’s actually from a different state) and the guests loved it! The uplighting was amazing and I’m so glad I went for the bliss lights. So magical!!
We had a backdrop type of photobooth. Can’t wait to see the drunken shenanigans that took place.
So many people said our ceremony was amazing and perfectly us which was exactly our goal.
On to the honeymoon!!!!
