I’m soooo excited right now – we finally after what seems to be months of going back and forth on where to have the wedding for various reasons we have Booked the Venue and have booked the wedding at Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland… 🙂 http://www.eileandonancastle.com
I was not able to secure the reception place we had desired but we will work on an alternative… I even was able to secure my dress designer too for the dress I have drooled over, and even though they are based in Scotland too the extra effort will be worth it I am sure..
Now I have a year and a half to plan!!

That is amazing! Your wedding is going to be absolutely gorgeous. I lived in Scotland for six months and LOVE it there, so I can only imagine how incredible your wedding will be. Congrats!

@Angkinah: Congrats, it will be amazing.
I have been there a few times, it is beeeeautiful!!!! I actually ran into a wedding there during one visit (was on my way to the Isle of Skye) and it was really gorgeous. I have a huge black and white photo in my living room of this castle to remind me of just how gorgeous it is.
Where will you be staying before and after the wedding? It is quite a drive out there.

Thank you… I cannot wait although we have a year and a half!!!! I downloaded their desktop wallpaper so I can look at it while on the PC!! lol
I lived in England and have been to Scotland hundreds of times but the last time I was in that area was as a very small child and I do not recall it 🙁 We had tried to reserve the ‘Ting;e Creek Hotel’ for the reception but they were already booked!!! and some of the reviews I am finding online for some of the other suggested hotels left us a little discouraged!! We are currently talking to the Kintail Lodge Hotel and the Balmacara Mains (who so far have gone above and beyond even thought they are quite small they are our current favourite).
But first it seems that my Fiance will have to deal with the UK Immigration to obtain a Marriage Visa!!! (I’m a UK Citizen so I don’t need one!!).
Feel free to throw any other advice about the area our way we will appreciate it 🙂
