How exciting! I definitely recommend you start charting to familiarize yourself with your cycle. We are not TTC right now (maybe this fall), but I stopped taking the pill back in April and I’m in the middle of my second cycle charting. It’s really cool to have a better understanding of what my body is doing! I say go for it, as it can take a little while to get into a routine of temping every morning, etc. You can also start on prenatal vitamins at any point. Have fun!!

@Wonderstruck:  Congrats!!!!! How exciting!!!!! I am very pro-charting, but what are you guys using for birth control right now?

@Wonderstruck:  Hahahaah! Yes, squelch that one if you can!!! It will drive you crazy! I was in the same boat you are. Now I’m too superstitious (in our fifth month of trying). Even though we talked about names in the past, we don’t anymore. I don’t wanna jinx it!!! LOL. If you aren’t using hormones for BC, then I say go for it! Charting gives you such a great picture of your body and your cycles. I mean, literally, a PICTURE. Lol. And if you guys begin to have problems (God forbid!!!), you have that much more knowledge to provide your doctor than someone who had only just begun.

Yipee! 🙂

From my perspective I wish I had started tracking/charting and working out what my cycles were doing before I actually started TTCing. It would have made me more prepared and have less to learn now. But I think it depends what kind of TTC approach you would like to take – we were relaxed for the first few months and are now becoming more active/monitoring more to try and take more control.

Very exciting! I still remember our first few conversations about when to start trying and it was such a giddy feeling. 🙂

I am an advocate for at least monitoring your cycles, if not charting fully. It gets you much more in tune with your body, at the very least!

Thanks so wonderful! So happy for you!

Darling Husband was weird about the baby before he was 30 thing too.

I don’t think it can be too early to start charting so that way when you start TTC you already know what days you ovulate.
