We got our first gift in the mail yesterday! A cousin of my dad’s whom I haven’t seen since I was about 12 (she lives across the country) sent us a silver plated picture frame with hearts on it. We did not register for it, nor do we know her very well. It was really nice of her to send something, but I’m not sure what to write.
This is my first thank you note, so I haven’t gotten in the groove yet. I looked in a wedding book but didn’t really find anything that fit. If you have some good generic/go-to thank you note wording…please share!

Thank you so much for the beautiful picture frame. It was so sweet of you to think of us, we really appreciate it! We love the frame, and can’t wait to show off one of our wedding pictures in it. (And then depending if she’s coming or not) We are very excited to see you at the wedding, it means a lot that you are coming all this way to share our special day with us. Or, We’ll miss you at the wedding, hope to see you again soon.

@artbee: Thanks, that is really helpful! It’s kind of hard to get started because everything I could think of to say sounds so fake, but I’m sure after a couple hundred I’ll be churning these out pretty quickly in a few months after the shower.
