And let’s just say following directions isn’t a strong suit for most of my family members! LOL
We’re doing a plated dinner and have to let the venue know which meal each guest has selected, so we went with the ever-popular “Please initial by each guest’s meal choice”, followed by the 3 choices. Well, out of the 3 we’ve gotten back so far (all yesses… yay!), we got one where my aunt put J.A. (her initials) by 2 of the meals but didn’t T.A. (my uncle’s) by anything, and then 2 of my other aunts just put numbers by the selections, but didn’t indicate who chose what.
I guess these won’t be a really big deal since they’re couples and will be sitting together, so they can always trade if I guess wrong on who picked risotto and who picked tilapia or whatever. My fiance and I got a good laugh out of it, and now we’re having a little informal contest to see who sends us the first RSVP that is filled out correctly!

Same thing happened to me!! And even when I called/emailed to clarify who wanted what, I got an awful lot of “We just want one chicken and one beef!” Oy.

We had the same issue. They just traded plates if they got the wrong one. I was not about to call every guest who couldn’t follow directions! As long as your #’s are correct it’ll all work out.

@Ms. Sorbet: Our friends are getting married 2 months and they are getting back the craziest RSVP’s! People aren’t writing their last names, choosing food, writing how many people will be attending, etc. She has 3 “Mike’s” attending and 1 “Mike” not attending (with no last names or other indicators of who is who)… confusing!
I have a feeling that I’m going to run into problems also because I forgot to make it clear that they should indicate the number of guests attending on the RSVP card… oops! We shall see!

This is so frustrating! Nobody every pays attention and actually fills out response cards right and its frustrating Im sorry this happened.

Well, on the bright side, our vegetarian option (the least expensive of the 3) is already proving to be a lot more popular than we thought it would be!
OK, off to the mailbox to see if any more RSVP’s have arrived…
