He….is seriously cute. I’ve considered a chinchilla, but they live for so long! I’m not quite ready for that long of a pet commitment.

@eloping:  Well, it is a rodent as far as I know. Chinchillas have the most wonderfully soft fur. They used to be used quite a bit in the fur industry because they are just so soft.

I think they are rodents like squirrels are rodents. They are also originally from the Andes mountains. ๐Ÿ™‚

They are SOOOO cute! And fuzzy… I would love one but some how expensive rodent +  high energy terrier doesn’t seem like a good plan.

I used to want them! Then I fell in love with retired racing greyhounds. So totally not compatible!

Cute!!  I had one of those little guys when I was young.  The dust bath was always so fun to watch.  You should see if he likes running around in one of those clear plastic balls.  We had one and it was just the cuttest thing watching him roll around the house ๐Ÿ™‚

Aw, makes me miss mine! I had 2 boys when I was in high school, they got along great! A standard grey, and a black. Oddly enough one of them was Clark, too! (I didnt name mine either haha) My mom made me find them a new home when I went off to college, but they ended up with a friend of a friend who taught middle school science. He has a sign on his door to let the kids know they are running around so they dont get loose, but he lets them have free range pretty often, which I thought was totally cool. I havent had updates recently, but he would sent me pics all the time for a while, so Im confident I chose a good home for them.
