Hey hive..if you’re looking for an awesome destination wedding, we had a blast at the Portofino Island Resort in Pensacola!
Here’s a few pics of our weeklong escape from reality! We even also had a fabulous time at the National Naval Aviation Museum and guess what? It’s FREE!
The beaches were whitest of white, the water was so warm and clear. And my two guys are the bomb!
I’m gonna try to upload them here, but if I am unable to, check them out on my blog! http://www.theencorebride.blogspot.com !
I loved the pics I got from at the famous (and supposedly haunted) Pensacola lighthouse!

Lemme know your vote!
Shark or friendly dolphin or margarita haze???

Wow. I’m glad I’m not alone in thinking that huge fin was nooot quite like Flipper! We were on the dolphin cruise and the captain of the boat said “whoa, look at that big dolphin”. But it just cut thru the water and was a really big shadow barely below the surface. People were murmuring after he said that and I’m sure we weren’t alone in thinking we were not getting a visit from Flipper.
We did see a dolphin later on in a different area on the trip though but they were too quick to catch on film. Very quickly up and down.

It’s a dolphin…can’t be a shark. If it’s a shark, I have to stop getting in the water! 🙂
GET MARRIED AT THE PORTIFINO. You love it and it’s beautiful! Just go for it!! 🙂 Perfect excuse to have a small, intimate wedding.

Yea but you know me. I have to exhaust all possibilities until I am firm with something!
The only prob with it is the area where we’d marry. I’m not going to do a beach b/c I have to wear some gorgeous heels. I do want either a bayview or beachview for the ceremony though. I am a sucker for a great view.
I want it to be Flipper too. It just MOVED differently.

Wow, yeah, it doesn’t exactly look like a dolphin in the photo. They’re hard to capture in pics, because they move so quickly. However, I don’t want to think it’s a shark either…;)
Wow, looks like an awesome vacation. Kate’s right-it would be a great place for a destination wedding!

That’s why I don’t swim!! Everything looked amazingly beautiful.

To me it honestly looks like a dolphin, but that’s just going off your picture, i wasn’t there to see it move. and besides, i’ve never seen either in real life :p Well, I suppose I’ve see dolphins in Seaworld lol. Looks like it was a fun trip!
