It was about fifteen minutes away from my house. Lukily no one in the area was severly injured. There were several houses and buildings that were completely leveled but I’m glad to say that nothing too serious happened.
All I have to say is, only in Illinois! About a year or two ago we had a bad tornado in January. What is with our terrible winter weather?!?

I’m glad you’re okay! We have a tornado watch currently and it’s storming pretty badly outside!

Haha, I am in Mid-Missouri and our sirens went off too.

@beekiss2: Yeah when the storms were happening the radar showed a pretty wide range of storms so I guess I’m not surprised that you are having the warnings too! Hope everything is ok.

Glad you’re ok! My uncle works in Rockford, and was just telling me about his awful commute home (he lives in Southern WI)

We’re under a tornado watch in southwestern IL now. It’s raining, but its not bad. This November has been feeling more like spring! I’m loving it!

We had a tornado watch and severe storms last week here in South Carolina. Luckily there were no tornadoes but we had a lot of wind, extremely heavy rains, and a lot of lightning that knocked some trees down. I actually was late to work by 5-10 minutes because at the time I was supposed to leave it was at its worst. Like I said, we were lucky enough not to have anything worse though, I absolutely hate tornadoes. I’m glad you’re okay!

@SweetRose2011: Where are you at in IL? I used to go to Beardstown alot and the storms are terrible there as they get caught in the “bowl”.
