I’m so so sorry. She is adorable and the love you gave her for her short life probably meant the world to her. Hugs.

I’m so sorry for your loss.

Absolutely be an advocate, whether it’s your pet, your kids, or even family who can’t speak for themselves.

My mom had a lab from a reputable breeder and the breeder asked her to get a full body of x-rays at a university veterinary school to get a special certification.

The x-rays showed very bad elbow dysplasia,  my mom knew something was wrong but she worked for her vet, and he had checked only the hips and said everything was fine.  She didn’t want to second guess her boss so let it go, but her gut told her something was seriously wrong.

secondtimecharm :  i’m so sorry. she looks like she was a really sweet girl. I just had to say goodbye to my 13 year old girl 4 weeks ago, and I know how hard it can be to make that decision and feel like you’ve somehow let them down. Big hugs for you, bee <3

secondtimecharm :  Aw, I am SO sorry you had to do that. She was a beautiful girl! That must have been so difficult.

And you are really right about the vet care they get. It’s hard to know what to do, too. I mean, we trust our vets to do the best they can, but do they always?? I frankly worry about that a bit. We are going through something with one of my dogs right now, too.

So sorry to hear this. They are members of the family, just not a dog or a cat.  🙁

You did what you could. Please don’t beat yourself up over it. You showed her love when so many others would not have!
