I don’t even know how to start this post!
We just bought my ring!
We we’re planning on going to a stately home for a day trip but decided to go to the jewellery sector instead. Came back with: (drum roll……)
0.5 carat, F, VS2, Pear cut in 18ct yellow gold!
Perfect, perfect, exactly what I was hoping for in a traditional but unusual ring.
I guess that means I’m a bee with the goods hiding in the house?!
Now I need to concentrate on enjoying our time and not wondering if “this is it”.

thank you! I hope the waiting gets easier. I’m pretty certain it will; we are renovation at the moment, so that will keep me busy!

Congrats, it doesn’t sound like you’ll be waiting much longer! 😀
I’ve definitely come to admire pears since seeing some beautiful ones on the Bee!

I had thought I was sold on an oval, but seeing them in person, I was sure a pear was for us :3

Thank you bees! :3
I’m so smitten. He’s being all cute about it being in the house. I can’t stop thinking about it. I didn’t sleep much last night, I was too excited.
I can’t wait to be his fiancée (officially)!

Oh man, I’d be going crazy knowing it’s in the house. Mine is at the jewelers right now being finished (I have a heirloom center stone, it’s being put in a new setting that my FFI picked out) and just knowing it’s a few miles away from me is killing me! Just try to stay busy and preoccupied and not think about it every 5 minutes (granted I should take my own advice, ha!)
Pear cuts are gorgeous, be sure to post a picture when you finally have it on your hand!
