We may have found our wedding rings yesterday! We thought this would be an impossible challenge for us, as I like more classic rings and my fiance likes more modern styles. But we kept going back to the same set that we both really seemed to like, with both a modern yet classic look.
Initially I wanted to wear my wedding ring on the same finger as my engagement ring, as I really like that thought. My engagement ring is white gold with twelve diamonds and a Sapphire. I tried on many wedding rings but nothing seemed to work well with the engagement ring, it all became too big and looked ‘too much’ and not well matched together. Even the smallest wedding band didn’t seem to work and it really took away the beautiful look of the engagement ring.
So wedding ring on my other hand then? I wear my grandma’s Cartier tricolore ring on the middle finger there (which obviously has three colors, white yellow and rose gold) and there was this one ring that really seemed to match well!

It’s a set (my fiance really wants a matching set) made by a German brand and for European standards this is slightly modern with a classic touch. The outer bands are 14 k yellow gold and the middle part is white gold. Mine will have a small diamond.
We haven’t fully decided yet, but we both really do seem to like it! What do you bees think?

sfp: Beautiful!
I love two-tone rings, DH has a two-tone ring and I have a mismatched set.

wrkbrk: of course! This is my beautiful engagement ring!

I love it and wear it on my right hand, but I really couldn’t find a wedding ring that went well with it and complemented it, they all did the opposite. So I would be happy to wear my wedding ring on the other hand then.
Today, I kept looking at my hand as if I was already wearing my wedding ring, hoping to see it. I guess that’s a good sign that I like it, right?

sfp: Beautiful ERing! And the bands you picked out are beautiful, too. My original wedding band is a simliar combination: yellow gold on the outer edge and white gold in the middle. It’s a thicker band, too (about 5 mm wide), so I wore it alone. Sometimes now, I wear it with my anniversary ring … but not very often.

I think they are an excellent choice, very clean and modern.

I love it! Especially since my husband has the same wedding ring 😉 I think his is a little wider and made from tungsten instead of gold.
