So, we were marrying 12/13/14 but decided to move everything up to May and I have to do SO MUCH. Iwas set for december, was actually ahead of the game! But now that the wedding is FOUR months away I’m panicking a little bit.
Left to do:
1. Caterer (which I was putting a deposit on next week anyways and they have the date available, so almost done.)
2. Music, this one I’m freaking out about, I have nothing, NOTHING. No ceremony, cocktail or reception music. No dj, no band, nothing. I hadn’t even asked about prices yet. Dying over this one.
3. Day of coordinator :/
4. Seating chart
5. Bridesmaid dresses
6. MOB & MOG dresses
I’m sure I’m missing TONS of things, but I have for sure booked: Venue, photographer, flowers and other decorations, tables and chairs, favors, officiant. I’m freaking out. so.much.to.do

@minipenguin: It sounds like you have a huge amount already done/accounted for. I think the dreses will be fairly easy to take care of in that amount of time, so don’t stress too much about that. DJ’s in my area typically don’t get booked up crazy far in advance, given you have 4 months, I think you’ll be able to find one! And the seating chart will probably take a few devoted hours to, it’s just getting around to doing it! GOOD LUCK!
ETA: You’re having a DW? I know nothing about a Destination Wedding so I might just eat all my words! Sorry!

@thehappiestbridetobe: No jajaja I live down here, so this is my home town lol Wedding planning isn’t as crazy here as it is in the US but still, I hate not having a plan!
BUT we did find the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses today! Buying them tomorrow!

@minipenguin: Whoa! How exciting !! (: I am sure everything will fall into place perfectly !
We moved our wedding date up by a year, so I understand the feeling of having all the time in the world to feeling like there is no time!
It seems like the things you have let to do is nothing too time pressing/consuming, i’m sure you can do it (:

@minipenguin: You sound like you are in a good place. For some perspective, all of the things on your list are stuff that I either haven’t gotten around to yet, or completed in the last month. And I’ve known I was getting married in late May for the last year.

@minipenguin: You can do it! We are planning our entire wedding in 4 months. Got engaged in December, starting planning second week of January and getting married May 10. Stressful, but doable!
If you are on a budget, I highly recommend Ann’s Bridal Bargains for invitations. There also is a coupon deal flying around the internet right now for Wedding Paper Divas as well.

@minipenguin: Woohoo to moving up the date, although you should have moved it up a little more, I would have invited myself while we were on our honeymoon! haha 🙂
I think you list is reasonable, I wouldn’t be freaking out just yet. Just start contacting djs/bands as soon as you can. They were the ones that actually responded to me the quickest out of any vendor.

@minipenguin: Date twin!!! You can do it! We moved ours up 5 months and everything seems to be falling in place. We are doing most of the planning in one trip since we don’t live in the city we are getting married in. We have Appointments with the Florist, Baker, Caterer, DJ and Videographer all in one weekend. The key is to know exactly what you want. I made a word document with notes and pictures of everything we wanted.
