Wow, you’re taking this a LOT better than I would be!

@MapleMoose:  I second that!

@alicia1745:  I’m glad you’re taking it well – you will be able to find someone else. Maybe check around on Craigslist? Did she at least have a decent reason why not??

You are allowed to rant a lot longer!!! Is she giving you back her deposit(better be!) and any kind of compensation or recommendation for another photog? I’m so sorry you have to deal with this so close to the wedding!

@MapleMoose:  I second that. I would be a complete mess right now. Did she say why she couldn’t shoot your wedding? Could she recommend anyone else who would be able to do it?

Oh no! So unprofessional to email you with just that and not include a recommendation.

Did she give an explanation?

When you get a minute to breathe, I’d call her immediately and firmly demand your deposit back. If you’re on a small budget, you’ll really need it back quickly. You could also call and ask her if she has any recommendations – a phone call is always quicker than email!

@alicia1745:  I would for sure ask her for a reccomendation, but on the other hand do you want a reccomendation from someone so unprofessional?

I hope you’re able to find someone soon. Why not ask on the “local” page for your area?

Good luck!

I think you can definitely find someone to do it for around $1800 or less. I can’t believe your photog did that to you so close to your wedding that’s just awful 🙁 But I agree with your attitude, because there’s nothing you can do and no need wasting time stressing about it because it can’t be changed (at least that’s what I would hope to do, but I’d probably be on the floor in a puddle of my own tears lol). You poor thing, I am sending huge positive vibes that things fall into place and you find someone you love within your budget!! 🙂

I hope you find someone =) You are taking this rather well!!! We were in a similar situation with our original photographer, and I went crazy! I started emailing EVERY photographer that I could get a hold of! Most of them were severly out of my price range, but I asked for referrals from them! That’s how we landed our photographer–good luck in your search!

Oh, that’s terrible! I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope one of the photographers you emailed is free and can do it! Best of luck with everything!

I booked this guy, who is in FL 2 months before my wedding because we changed our mind on photographers. We really liked him.
