So last month I had a pregnancy “scare” which really turned into obsessing over being pregant and now wanting to be pregnant. I think part of my obsession towards the end was the thought of this would be our little miracle mistake…. and what if we weren’t pregnant; would we both have the guts to make the call of no birth control anymore. Maybe this was our chance to both get over our fears of trying.
I started thinking this was how God wanted it for us (unplanned)… bc otherwise we may never take the initiative of not taking birth control anylonger. As you can imagine I put a ton of pressure on this “chance” and was pretty disapointed once I got AF. Turns out so was my husband. An even though we already purchased another 3 months of birth control and its ready and available. We have decided for me to no longer take it. So this will be my 2nd month off the pill. This month I am feeling much better. There is no pressure on “this chance” or “this month” bc I am off the pill. This has also brought my husband and I even closer together. I love the way he talks about it and how excited he looks when talking about it. So we “pulled our goalie” and are now having fun trying!!

That’s exciting! We too had a ‘scare’ last month and were highly disappointed to find we weren’t expecting. I don’t think it will be long before we are.
Best of luck!!! 😀

Yay! How exciting. Good luck to you guys!
We had a scare a couple months ago and when we found out we weren’t pregnant we cried and I made my prenatal appointment with the doctor. Funny how it can put everything into perspective.

@noname- I swear there is this maternal instinct that just kicks in once that band goes on lol. I wanted to wait at least 3-5 yrs, but we are starting the process with less than a yr in (I am high risk so there is a lot of prep before the actual TTC)

@nonoame: I think you’re right about the Fall 2010 brides–I got married last Fall, and here we are, on month 2.
We started the same way as well, had a false alarm that led to very real disappointment for the both of us!
