My boyfriend and I ordered my ring today. I always take forever to make decisions and now I’m feeling very anxious! I’m scared I made the wrong choice.
It’s very pretty but I know it’s a very common setting, but it is my favorite kind 🙁
I also don’t want to sound ungrateful but it is a little smaller than what i thought our budget would take us. We are both young though- 21 and 23, so I should be happy. It just seems like this site has huge diamonds!
I guess my question is, did you ever have any doubts when you ordered your ring? (If you were involved in the process)
Here is a not so very good picture of it. I had to take it quick, we aren’t suppose to take photos inside. Also this is a platinum setting and mine will be yellow gold. Size 5.5 ring, carat size 1.3, round brilliant.
PS sorry photo is massive.. Idk how to resize

@cls9q: That ring is gorgeous and it looks like the perfect size for your finger 🙂 And YESSS I’ve doubted my ring choice a million times. We actually just ordered my wedding bands today and as soon as we got home from the jewelry store I started thinking “OMG, am I sure I like those rings?” It took me forever to decide what kind of band or bands I wanted and I’m afraid I’ll change my mind again. I think once it’s yours and it’s on your finger every day, you’ll feel better.

thank you!! Yes I think so too. It’s just so hard trying to picture it in yellow gold! They barely carry any yellow in stores!

If you don’t mind me asking, what are the specs and price? It’s gorgeous I love it so much! And the size looks great on your finger FYI, don’t feel bad! You should be excited! 😀

SI1, H color (more leniency in color since I’m doing a yellow band), excellent cut, round brilliant, 1.3
We paid 6700 for the diamond and band. We bought from Genesis Diamonds, they have the best prices I’ve seen and this weekend offered 20% off the band, as well as a nice discount from the manager. As well, after one year they offer 110% value back to upgrade (a nice option for us- young and student loans to pay off, and one day would like to upgrade the center stone just a bit)

I think it looks great. Keep this in mind. Some of the huge ‘diamond’ rings people show off here are not real!

Also, I think it is always better to go with something classic rather than trendy.

@cls9q: I got my ring from genesis diamonds too! Is this a gia certified stone? You got a really good deal!

I think it’s the perfect size and a 1.3 ct is nothing to sneeze about! It’s lovely. Congratulations!

@cls9q: Yay! Excited for you 🙂
SO ordered my ring this past week too. I think the size looks great on you. We’re close to the same age 22-23, and I think it’s the perfect size cost for my situation.
A lot of ladies on the bee have huge, gorgeous rings. Yours is lovely and seems like a great fit!

I think it’s gorgeous!! The size is so nice too! Personally, I don’t like anything larger than 1.3, 1.2 being my favorite size. That’s all personal preference though. You got a killer deal too!
