- Wedding: July 2015 - Springfield Golf & Country Cub
Bee’s it has been one long adventure and not to mention struggle to figure out the perfect venue for us. Remember there are a lot of financial hardships that Mr. Sea Turtle and I are going through right now. He can’t understand how I can sit and plan our wedding knowing it is going to take a while before it all comes together but I explain that it only helps alleviate other stresses in my life
So without further hesitation I present to you!….

Yes dearies, we’re going to go to Maryland for our wedding! Remind you Mr. Sea Turtle and I live in Virginia just about in between D.C. and Richmond and my dear mother lives in Pennsylvania just about the middle of the state. Thankfully, the Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel is located in a little town called Taneytown which is just under the border line of Maryland and Pennsylvania so hopefully this will give some joy to Mommy Sea Turtle.
One of the reasons we choose to have it at the Antrim 1844, other than it was a fair drive for all family members to get there, was also because of the price it would cost and what was included. I have never looked at a venue that included as much as the Antrim 1844 does in its pricing and allows me to have a smaller amount of people at the wedding should it be held during the week. Unfortunately due to the smaller amount of people at the wedding the bridal suite does not come complementary like it normally would so it will have to be written into our contract. Even with this though with the estimation of about forty people attending the wedding it would still range under five thousand which is perfect for our eight thousand budget because it means then that we may not even have to go that high.
Deylnn is also great, she’s the manager of the venue, and is great on answering questions and concerns! I would highly recommend her for anyone who would be considering a wedding in Maryland. Unfortunately as stated earlier we are in a bit of a financial hardship so although we picked it out and have gone on to plan other aspects of the wedding we still have not put down a deposit or set a date or even visited the venue in person yet. I’m sure some of you will think that not even visiting the venue and deciding that it’s the one is a crazy thing to do, but then again aren’t we all a little crazy when it comes to weddings?
One last picture of the Antrim 1844 Country Hotel before I go!
