@moniquaa:  We did the same thing πŸ™‚ Your cycle will most likely be different once you are off the pill. You could use an ovulation predictor kit to find out for sure when you ovulate. I ovulated on day 14 like clockwork my first cycle off the pill though so you could be totally normal and on track! (I was on the pill for over 10 years). I ovulated on Monday, we tried that night and I’m hoping for a BFP in 2 weeks however I don’t want to get my hopes up! Its only our first cycle so I’m trying to relax myself lol.

I was on the pill for 7 years and managed to get back into a normal cycle within a couple months. Good luck!

Good luck!!! I used fertility friend and period diary for strictly tracking my periods and not for TTC. I had really regular periods once I was off BC and by chance happened to BD on my estimated ovulation day (not sure if I actually ovulated that day or the day after, or before as i was not temping or charting) but ended up pregnant! hope it works for you too!

@moniquaa:  LMK what happens with you too! Honestly getting off the pill and the reaction to that varies for so many people that I was really surprised that I bounced back so quickly….hopefully it sticks! I’m interested to see how your body reacts too. Do you think your Darling Husband secretly wants to “really try” right away also? My Darling Husband kept saying we’re just having fun w this over and over and then he would start asking if I was ovulating and if I thought I was pregnant etc etc sometimes they are more into it then they let on πŸ™‚ Good luck!!

Keep me posted as well πŸ™‚ I, like you, have been on the pill for years and am just getting off it now. Eeek! So exciting/scary!

I’ll be interested to see how it goes for you since we will be in your shoes in roughly another month or so. Good luck!

It’s a good way to start because it’s not stressful and there’s a good chance you’ll fall pregnant anyway. If nothing happens for months then you might want to look at trying a bit harder lol.

@moniquaa:  Exciting – good luck!

My first cycle off the pill was 49 days! πŸ™  So cycles are not always exactly the same off the pill as on it.

Fingers crossed that your cycles regulate quickly πŸ™‚

This whole thread just made me feel so much better!  I just started what will be my last pack of BCP and Darling Husband and I have promised we are not going to “TTC” in the sense of temping, charting, etc. for at least 6 months because we want to not get too stressed…But just knowing this is my last cycle on the pill is making me want to start using FF, etc. so that I can keep track of things!  I have been on the pill for  YEARS also so I hope I have the good luck of some of you ladies that had regular cycles very soon after going off.  I like the idea of keeping track for myself but maybe not telling him/pressuring him to BD at specific times because of it….I might have to try that =)
