Sounds like something that should already be in place. I think a mod mentioned something about them originally planning to include something along those lines but it became too complex. I think we’re all in agreement that something has to change or else a lot of the members may be taking off. Without a following, there’s no forum.

Yeah, kinda agree with you there CaitMarae. Something has to change. The trolling/bashing and evilness has been going on for too long without any action..

ii.      While individuals sometimes disagree, we expect such disagreements to be handled in a mature manner.  Please refrain from leaving comments that exhibit intolerance for individuals or groups of people including excessive rudeness, defamatory remarks, weight bais remarks, racist remarks, threats, or profanity directed at other members.

It does state it there, then again, Mods are not always here to help, understandably ofcourse.. they are volunteers. This helps alot for those that would like to know the rules of WB. But not all are here to be friendly and be supportive. Some like to create drama. Unfortunately we can’t filter the evilness out all together..  it’s after all a community. And that is the sad part of it. :/

How are you able to fix double standards?? Certain people “tow the line” and never get banned or edited, and they can be down right snarky and disrespectful, because they are “honest”. But then some of us do the same thing, and we get warnings and edited and all that fun stuff. So really, there is no solution, because we don’t see the process and how people are reprimanded to prove the double standard

How do you volunteer to be a mod? It seems to me that every time one of these posts comes up we are all quickly reminded that mods are volunteers and they aren’t here all the time. Maybe (no, definitely) we need more mods that will maybe be around more often. So how does one become a mod?

@Stassney: Mods are currently chosen from our current Hostesses.  You can apply to be a Hostess here.

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: So it isn’t a volunteer type thing? It is a we will take who we want to take, even if it limits the number of mods we have, type thing. and then it gets portrayed to us as oh, we are volunteers and there aren’t enough of us.

I am not trying to start something.. but it just seems with this current process, mods may be volunteering but it isn’t if you want to be one, great volunteer and help us out. Y’all probably have plenty of people who would like to help out and haven’t been “chosen”. Which kind of stinks.
