I honestly never knew this was a trend until I started reading the Bee forums, and I haven’t personally been to any bridal showers where the bride-to-be wears white. So I think it’s totally a personal preference, and it certainly isn’t weird to not wear white. I am wearing white for my wedding (well, ivory technically) because it’s tradition, but in general I do not wear white because I am pale and look much better in brighter colors. So for my shower next weekend I’m wearing a pretty floral print and a fun coral cardigan. I’m not worried about people not knowing I’m the bride 🙂 I say wear something you feel beautiful and confident in, whatever the color!

Nope, my dress for my bridal shower was a pink and yellow Lilly Pulitzer.  I wanted to be bright and cheery, and white is dangerous at parties with red wine.  😉

I will be wearing white to my showers unless I can find another killer dress to wear!

I didn’t wear any white and it’s not that common to here. If you already have a cute dress and need an excuse to wear it, why bother hunting around for something in a specific colour (that might not be as nice)?
