I’m going to wear a blusher birdcage veil that ends just about at the end of my nose/top of my lips at my ceremony and had planned to remove it and either wear just a flower or some type of hair jewelry at the reception. My mom seemed surprised and said that she thought i would either wear the veil over my face or pushed back over my hair for the reception. Anyone done this or seen anyone else do this?

I’m not a veil person, but I think you could easily wear it or not, it’s up to you! If that’s what you want to do, it will look just fine, but I think switching it up for the reception is fun, too. Basically–do what you’re comfortable with!

I had a birdcage veil that was about the same length as yours. I loved it so much that I was torn about whether or not to just keep it on for the reception. I chose to remove it and just keep my hair flower in, because as much as I was in LOVE with the birdcage veil, my eyelashes were so long they kept getting stuck in it! You will look beautiful either way. Maybe wait ’til the day of the wedding and make it a game-time decision like I did. 🙂
