I’m wearing a lace dress and I am looking for some shoe inspiration! Due to the length of the dress before alterations and the garden venue, I won’t be wearing much of a heel (if at all), but I’m dying to see what you decided on. Share away!

@His Lioness: Sorry for the bad cell phone pic but it is all I had at the time, need to update my pics I know. (and ignore the half-painted toes!)
I got these on clearance at Sears. They are leather. I did NOT buy them thinking I’d for sure use them as wedding shoes, just thought they were cute and comfy… then I got home and started mulling it over, and I added some sparkly vintage buttons to the center of the flowers, and voila!
Everyone said they wouldn’t go because they are leather but when I put them on with the dress they worked for me.
Sometimes I find I am still second guessing and thinking I should be wearing satin or something but in general, I don’t think my shoes will get THAT much focus and I already have plans to dye these with leather dye after the wedding and wear them in Spring with dresses. 🙂

@MsInterpret: Thanks for this! I’m still torturing myself over what to wear. Agree with you, nobody will really care about our shoes anyway or see them!! I was hoping to find something I could wear again. Love that you’re going to dye these!! 🙂

@His Lioness: You know, I had no idea that you can dye leather until I Googled it! Then I bought the stuff and tried it on another pair of shoes and it’s pretty awesome. There are a ton of colors available!
I still keep my eyes open for something a little more “formal” or fancy with the shoes. I REALLY wanted lace ones but I never found anything reasonably priced or meeting my criteria (low heel, no pointy toes). I also like satin/cutesy with bows, again the money issue.. but if I find some cheap I might give in, and still have these for spring. 🙂 My wedding is in March but it’s in NE Iowa and I kind of wanted something more closed if possible.

Here are mine! I JUST bought them at Nordstroms. I fell in love with these shoes the moment I saw them!

@Leesh: Those are gorgeous! If the heel weren’t so high, I’d be at Nordy’s buying them myself!

Here is a pic of my dress/shoes on my wedding day:
The shoes are from Nine West, pretty simple, but they looked great!

These are made by Crocs actually, they are satin and leather, only like 1 inch raise in the back.

These are my shoes, from David’s. (http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Dyeable-peep-toe-mid-heel-with-scalloped-edge-Shellie_Accessories-Shoes-All-Shoes) I felt like with so much going on with my beaded lace dress, I should keep my shoes simple. I got them dyed a light ivory to match my dress and after the wedding, I plan to get them dyed a fun color (not sure which color yet). It’s only $3 to have David’s dye the shoes so it’s a pretty good deal.

I was going to go with the current trend of colored shoes, but I just couldn’t find any that were quite right OR comfortable enough. I had a voucher for $75 good at the salon where I purchased my dress and I used it to buy these:
(Same as my av. pic. but this is bigger and clearer.) They were really comfortable and with my voucher, cost me just 15 bucks! How could I beat that?
