Those of you who say you do/plan to wear your wedding dresses again, how easy are they to actually get on? I really want to wear mine again, even if it’s just to twirl in the house, but I’d also really like to do a “rock the dress” photoshoot and even for that I feel like getting back into this thing will be a pain in the ass!
Mine has a corset/lace up back, so I certainly can’t put it on by myself and even on the Big Day it took two people to lace it! So this is why I’m confused when I see posts such as “I wear mine to vacuum”, etc.
Just curious to hear what everyone has to say on this.

@furnituregirl: Yeah, I’d never be able to get my own wedding dress on again…i guess first i’d have to lose about 10 pounds hahaha. 🙂 And a laceup back? Yeah, that’s a toughie!

@pengoala: Ha! I agree with the ten pounds thing!
i put my dress back on one time after the wedding and drank wine. I could not lace it back up by myself and my husband was at work, so I sat on that couch with an unlaced dress and a bottle of wine.

@OtterHalf: That’s too funny! And also what I’ll probably end up doing.
Now that I think of it, I actually GAINED a little weight right before our wedding (wonderful, I know) because of all the drinking I was doing (ha), which I have since lost. If I lose a few more pounds, I could probably have the dress altered to a zip up back!

@furnituregirl: I put mine back on this past weekend on a whim (I was just hanging around the house and uploading honeymoon photos). My dress is also corset-back, but I somehow managed to snap the modesty panel in place and tie a loose knot on just the top loops. Like OtterHalf, I basically just sat on the couch for a while. It didn’t look nearly as flattering as when it was cinched, but I just wanted to wear it again before I have to send it off for cleaning. It was too expensive and pretty to only wear once!
