I’m in lovee with this dress! It’s similar to a dress that I loved (but rejected) for my actual wedding gown. After finding this on etsy, I’m debating buying it for my bridal shower. My shower is being held at a nice Italian restaurant, and it’s expected to be a semiformal affair (or slightly less casual.) Is this dress appropriate??
What would YOU think if the bride wore this to her shower?

Why don’t we wear it as a reception dress?

@Ashley1281: I’m considering it, but truthfully I don’t want to give up my other gown for even a minute! (Although I may change into this at the last minute if I buy it for the shower)

Personally, I think it’s a bit over the top for a shower. It’s your call, of course, but I would think it looked out of place.

It’s only appropriate for a very formal shower IMO. “semi formal” won’t cut it.

why dont you do an artistic photo shoot with it.. you can hire a photgrapher for just the shoot and its not expensive at all since its onyl a few hours not a whole day wedding. ITs a cute dress I would want to do something w it.. but I agree w other posters shower is a bit much.

Is cute! I never would have guessed it was a wedding dress though, since it’s short. To me it’s no different than other short white dresses people wear to pre-wedding events. Rock it!

I really wanted to find a short white dress for my shower or rehearsal dinner, so I’m jealous you found one. I think its a great idea!

I think it’s perfect for your shower!

Could you order it in off white? or pink? or something a little less … bridal?
Is it knee length or full length?

I think it would have to be a seriously formal shower.
