Both of those colors look great on you! I wouldn’t worry too much about trying to use bold lip colors everyday (unless you just want to of course) in preparation for your wedding. I don’t expect that you wear a wedding gown in your day to day life so you probably will be looking overall more dressed up and glam on your wedding day no matter what– and that’s to be expected!

Ive posted this product on other threads but if you’re going to wear dark lipstick on your wedding day please consider Lip Ink! It lasts pretty much all day and won’t get all over your Fiance or wedding dress!

I would try Wineberry or Cherry, or both for this kind of color!

Wow i love those colors on you 🙂 i say just wear what makes you happy and comfortable! i learned how to do my make up for the wedding and once every other week or so prior to our wedding I would practice.  Previously i had never done my foundation or eyebrows!  i rarely wear makeup, and i still felt like me on the wedding day with my makeup done 🙂

somathemagical :  yes, you need the whole kit. It is expensive but definitely worth it. Follow the steps exactly as listed and it will last all day if you don’t eat anything greasy or bite your lips! Trust me. I get a MAC Pro discount so MAC lipsticks are $6-8 for me and I would rather pay more for lip ink. Especially when you know you’ll be in front of a camera and you don’t want to have to reapply all night!

Edit: Another thing that’s worth repeating is that there is virtual,y no way to keep regular lipstick off of your Fiance during the wedding kiss. Not even powdering your lipstick!

I went with a bold lip for my wedding (Stila ‘Fiery’) and the girl at Ulta helped me put it on before I bought it so I could see what it looked like…then I didn’t wear it again until the wedding. Mmmmmostly because I wasn’t capable of properly applying it myself because I have the makeup skill of a toddler. But I LOVED the way it looked during the wedding. So, I’d say wearing it to get used to it isn’t totally necessary!

LaSplash are one of my fav brands for lip stains but NYX is a close second. They look great.

I’ll be growing out my hair for sure and probably doing 100 hair masks before the wedding

A bold matte lipstick is my ‘go-to’ look whenever I go out for dinner or drinks, which isn’t that often, so it doesn’t take much getting used to. I definitely recommend a bold lip on your wedding day, it feels very glamorous. Just be sure your lips are well conditioned so they don’t feel/look dry. I wore my own YSL matte shade 204 – my favourite lippy.

somathemagical :  I’ve tried all the longwear lipsticks, some are great (Kat Von D) and some are meh (Nyx just doesn’t last more than a couple hours for me). My MUA recommended Chanel Rouge Double Intensité and it’s the longest lasting one I’ve EVER tried. I will frequently wake up the next morning still wearing most of it. Highly recommend.

somathemagical :  No it’s really creamy and nice feeling. It’s a single step, the other side is a special gloss you can apply that won’t remove the color.
