My now husband and I went on a weekend getaway a few months before our wedding and we both wore our wedding rings on the trip! It was really fun for us, got us even more excited for our upcoming wedding, it was still extra special and different wearing them for real after the wedding, and we’ve been happily married for a year so no bad luck! 😘

I was bad about this, but I don’t believe in bad luck, so I didn’t care. My then Fiance was more traditional than I was…he tried it on to make sure it fit/was comfortable for a full 12 hours (so he could cook/sleep/exercise in it), declared it good, then tucked it away until the wedding. We’re almost a week in and it didn’t take away any of the excitement…I stare at my set constantly!

bywater : lol ouchie.
I will say I have only worn mine for any extended period once each. Both times were the day when they came in the mail from the jeweller. I have put them on here and there and admire the sparkle. What a waste having sparklies just sitting in a box all the time. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

No, I don’t feel I’ve earned it yet. Which is weird considering I picked and bought it. Lol. I have tried it on a few times when second guessing. Lol.

I only got my band about a week before the wedding and for a long time I didn’t intend to even have a separate band – so no I never did. But I don’t think it’s bad luck at all, I don’t see any reason to wait to wear them! I don’t attach a big significance to the wedding band though like in a sentimental type of way.

In tribute to this thread I wore mine for about 10 mins yesterday, until I felt sneaky and guilty
Lol.

Yes! I did a few times. My DH went out of town for a weekend and I wore it the whole time. I couldn’t wait for the day I could wear it all the time. Now I NEVER take it off unless I’m doing yard work, washing the dogs or mixing meatloaf.

I started leaving my engagement ring home and wearing my wedding band to work months before the wedding. I work in healthcare and having just a band on is much easier for me when putting on gloves and moving patients.
