- Wedding: March 2013
I (caucasian) am getting married to my chinese fiance tomorrow and my insides are curdling.
It will be a small ceremony including only his and my family(about 10 people) at the local town hall (in the UK). There will be another buffet style party on Saturday to which I have a fairly normal but elegant red dress to wear.
Both parties will be by no means traditional and very informal.
I thought of wearing Qua (two-piece wedding costume) to the 1hour or so ceremony tomorrow.
I’d just love to wear it, but now I’m having second thoughts… let me correct that,
a million thoughts….
as I am not chinese would his family think it’s kind of ridiculous?
(I haven’t met them before, but they know im white. Then again, they wrote down some traditions for us to do (changing bedsheet +red towel)
The Qua I bought is not that high quality (fabric) (compared to others I’ve seen, as I had to be on a budget),
will they think it looks cheap?
(Do they care?
Maybe so… his family used to be rich..before his father went bankrupt. Sorry, so many infos, but I’m trying to explain the mindset.)

Will I look too boxy for people / fat ?
Gosh, I would love to wear it but somehow feel like a fool. =(
I’m suddenly so scared about the whole wedding and ughh… last minute breakdowns just suck.
